Ameristar Casino (ASCA: 15.09 0.00%) has been awarded the prestigious American Automobile Association (AAA) Four Diamond Destination award for its 397 all suite luxury hotel and spa, Ameristar Casino Resort Spa St. Charles.

The gaming resort was opened in St. Charles Missouri in 2008, and is the only hotel in the area to win the elite honor.

The AAA Four Diamond Destination recognition is bestowed only to lodging and restaurants that consistently achieve a high level of quality and service. Less than 4 percent of lodging establishments in North America have attained this level of excellence.

Ameristar CEO and Vice Chairman Gordon Kanofsky acknowledged the award by saying, “Ameristar is honored by the designation, which affirms the dedication to excellence at our eight properties.”

Other Ameristar properties to hold this honor are in Council Bluffs, Iowa and Jackpot, Nevada.
