Ingenio, the research and development branch of the Quebec lottery, announced it had entered into a partnership with Bally Technologies (BYI: 33.33 0.00%), resulting in a new slot machine being released this month.

The new game is called La Poule aux oeufs d’or, or Hatch the Cash. It is based on a Quebec lottery television show of the same name. The slot uses an “egg or envelope” format begun on the tv show.

Nathalie Rajotte, the Director General of Ingenio, hailed the game’s release, saying, “This is the Québec launch of the first in a series of slot machines to be developed within the framework of a strategic alliance forged by Ingenio and Bally Technologies in June 2006.”

Other games developed by the lottery operators and the slot manufacturer are in the pipeline, awaiting certification from Quebec government agencies.
