Las Vegas Sands (LVS) Rewarding Tweets
Las Vegas Sands Corp. (LVS: 47.15 -2.72%) has created a new loyalty rewards program that will utilize activity on Twitter to promote two popular Las Vegas gaming properties.
As an active user of social media platforms to market and advertise, Sands will now begin offering rewards including free suite stays, discounts at resort amenities and free admission to TAO and LAVO Nightclubs through a new program dubbed The Venetian | The Palazzo Social Rewards program.
Users are awarded points based on tweets that are tracked and monitored by the program, the user can then redeem those points for a number of rewards at both the Venetian Resort-Hotel-Casino and The Palazzo Las Vegas Resort.
“Social media has evolved into one of the strongest forms of online advertising as well as one of the most important ways The Venetian and The Palazzo connect with their guests,” said Lori Kobashigawa, director of Internet marketing for Las Vegas Sands Corp. “It was only a matter of time before someone developed a way to say ‘thank you’ to those social media users who are dedicated to our brand. Social Rewards is helping us thank them for their loyalty.”
