Penn National Gaming (PENN: 25.62 +2.85%) will celebrate the second anniversary of their Pennsylvania based Hollywood Casino preparing for a major transformation to provide patrons table games such as poker, blackjack, craps and roulette.

Governor Ed Rendell signed the gaming expansion legislation into law this week, allowing the state’s slot casinos to have between 50 and 250 table games depending on the size of the casino, and allowing the smaller casinos to add additional slot machines.

General Manager Frank Quigley said the casino will be expanded by 45,000 square feet and they will provide approximately 40 table games and up to 250 more slot machines.

Quigley also said he anticipates having a director of table games in place as early as next week.

The casino submitted their expansion plan to the township on January 5 and should be reviewed by the planning commission later this month.
