Pinnacle Entertainment’s (PNK: 9.97 -1.97%) River City Casino prevented St. Louis from losing 15% of its gaming revenue during the month of August.

The casino which has only been opened since March saw revenue increase to $14.8 million last month bringing the total gaming revenue for St. Louis to $91.8 million.

According to reports released on Friday by the Missouri Gaming Commission revenue at the other five properties in the St. Louis area fell in year over year revenue.

Pinnacle Entertainment’s Lumiere Place dropped 15% to $14.5 million during the month, while Ameristar St. Charles ,Harrah’s Casino in Maryland Heights, Argosy Alton and Casino Queen were all down between 6% and 17%

St. Louis is also feeling the decline in revenue due to the closing of Pinnacle’s President Casino, which was shut down in June.
