As part of Bally’s partnership with the Nevada Cancer Institute (NVCI), they will sponsor a “Cash Spin for Charity” program to be aired live on FOX5’s MORE celebrity, lifestyle, and entertainment show weekdays at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.

During the broadcast, a guest on the show will take part in the Cash for Spin Charity segment and spin the virtual wheel on Bally’s award-winning new Cash Spin(TM) slot machine.

The Bally Technologies gaming machine featured in the program is Cash Spin, the industry’s only slot machine to feature U-Spin(TM) gesture-control technology that senses both the pressure and speed of a person’s hand gestures as they spin the virtual wheel on the special touch-enabled LCD.

Cash Spin is expected to debut in Nevada casinos next month.

The U.S. Based game manufacture plans to show off its award winning Cash Spin game featuring U-Spin technology, as well as its Fireball and 77777 Jackpot products as part of the popular Digital Tower Series and debut the new Pro Series Slant video cabinet.

The company’s financial results has once again qualified them as a leader in slots, video machines, casino management systems, and networked solutions for the global gaming industry.

Bally reported diluted earnings per share of $0.58 and $1.11 on revenue of $213 million for the quarter and $410 million for the six month period.

The company has also achieved system revenues at a record $58 million and gaming equipment gross margin improvements to a record 53%.

Gaming operations revenue has increased from last year’s $66 million to $69 million.

Haddrill, the Company’s Chief Executive Officer “We see positive long-term trends for our business as a result of planned gaming expansion, the extended deferral of customer game capital expenditures, and our upcoming product launches.”

Bally reiterated Fiscal 2010 Diluted EPS Guidance in the range of $2.30 to $2.55 and system revenue guidance in range of $220 million to $230 million.

Robert C. Caller, the Company’s Chief Financial Officer, added, “We also continued to strengthen our balance sheet in the second quarter as we further reduced debt by $12 million while repurchasing $16 million of our stock.”

The new contract will be for a seven year period ending December 31, 2017.

Bally is one of three video gaming providers in the state, but hold a 51% market share.

Bally provides over 6,400 gaming terminals to New York’s eight gambling facilities, Batavia Downs Casino, Empire City Casino and Yonkers Raceway, Fairgrounds Gaming & Raceway, Finger lakes Gaming & Racetrack, Monticello Casino & raceway, Saratoga Gaming & Raceway, Tioga Downs Casino, and Vernon Downs Casino & Hotel.

A ninth casino at Aqueduct Racetrack is anticipated to open in 2011.

Bally shares closed Wednesday down 63 cents at $42.60. The stock has changed hands between $12.91 and $46.74 in the past 52 weeks.

John Connelly, Bally Technologies’ Vice President of International accepted the ‘Best Gaming Technology Manufacturer’ award for 2010 at a gala ceremony at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel in London.

The awards ceremony was hosted in conjunction with the world’s second largest gaming show, The International Gaming Expo, being held in London this week.

Bally was recognized by a panel of judges representing leading gaming industry professionals, journalists and industry analysts from around the world, as the most innovative gaming technology manufacturer.

Criteria for the award included achieving sales volume matching its level of innovation, showing “originality”, the ability to succeed in a highly competitive market, and offering services to clients that have helped increase profitability, or have helped make working environments an easier and more productive place.

January 1, 2010 marked the first day of the new $100 million repurchase plan approved by Shareholders to buy back shares of the company’s common stock.

Technical indicators for Bally’s stock are Bullish and S&P gives BYI a positive 4 STAR (out of 5) buy rating.

The Association will be responsible for driving a number of initiatives including IAGA’s annual joint conference with its sister organization the International Association of Gaming Regulators that will bring casino executives, regulators, attorneys and financial experts from the industry together in Washington D.C. to discuss national and international developments in gaming law.

Isaacs joined Bally in September of 2006 after resigning as President of Aristocrat Technologies, Inc. He was awarded an option to acquire 150,000 shares of Bally’s common stock.

Bally’s stock opened the market this week at $41.75. The stock reached its high last week on Monday at $42.88 and its low on Friday at $41.26.

Friday the game developer announced that it has signed a three year licensing deal with Bally Technologies Inc (BYI: 37.72 -1.98%) to gain access to Bally’s entire library of slot games.

Bally will receive a license fee and a licensing royalty percentage on products sold using its trademarks. Third party licensed products would be negotiated separately.

EGC will use Bally’s slot games including Mermaid’s Treasure, Super Reel Jackpots and Power Progressives on the companies Electronic Game Cards (R) for gambling, bingo and lottery devises as well as those intended for non gaming purposes.

The agreement will begin on January 31, 2010 and will include options for renewal.

David Robbins was re-elected to his position on the Board of Directors for a three year term. Robbins served as a director of the Company from July 1994 to September 1997 and as Chairman of the Board from February 1997 through September 1997, rejoining Bally as a director and Chairman of the Board in December 1997.

Shareholder’s returned a positive vote on the $100 million repurchase plan to replace the existing buyback plan effective January 1, 2010. The gaming devise manufacture has successfully repurchased $66 million of its common stock to date.

Long term incentive plans and the appointment of Deloitte & Touche LLP accounting firm for fiscal year 2010 were also approved.

Under the terms of the deal the gaming industries leader in systems and technology solutions will provide the casino with a comprehensive slot management system, 655 iVIEW ® player interface displays, a CMS® suite of marketing solutions, the Power Promotions and Power Winners systems.

The combination of gaming solutions will allow Fort Sill to offer players a number of interactive ways to access bonus features, marketing promotions, player club accounts and allow the cross promotion of resort amenities. The systems will also offer player tracking and analysis, player club enrollment and redemption abilities and enable players to convert points and promotional dollars to playable credits.

Bally won more awards than any other company in the global gaming industry for the second year in a row.

The annual competition is the industries most prestigious award given for innovation in technology, products and services that enhance the gaming experience.

Bally received first place honors in the Best Slot Product category for their new Cash Spin game with U-Spin and Interactive Reels technology. The game uses a touch LCD screen which provides the player a new level of control and interaction by sensing the pressure and speed of a person’s hand gestures.

The game maker also took first place in the Best Productivity Enhancement category for their Biometric Recognition. This is the industries first product to incorporate distributed surveillance and biometric recognition by using a miniature camera on each gaming machine to capture a player’s photo to enable numerous applications such as cardless player tracking, anonymous self exclusion, employee validation and money laundering monitoring.

Bally, a leader in slots, video machines and casino management systems in the gaming industry successfully implemented their programs in SJM’s L’Arc Macau casino resort which opened in September.

Under the terms of the new agreement, Bally will provide its products to the Oceanus Casino scheduled to open in December, as well as slot lounges at the Yat Yuen Canidrome and the Macau Jockey Club by May 30, 2010.

The agreement provides Macau’s largest multi-casino operator with the option to expand Bally’s technology solutions to any of their additional 16 properties throughout the Macau Peninsula and Taipa Island.

“SJM joins our other valued customers and partners in Asia-Pacific, where Bally’s games and systems technology is helping casinos drive additional revenue, attract and reward players, and gain operational efficiencies,” said Bally’s CEO, Richard Haddrill.

In 2006, International Game Technology (IGT) and Shuffle Master, Inc alleged that Bally’s MP21 table game system and iVIEW products infringed the claims of two patents owned by the companies.

Nevada Federal District Court originally ruled in favor of Bally, rejecting ICT’s claim for monetary damages and an injunction on the system, resulting in the recent case presented before the appeals court.

The U.S Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit affirmed the decision as ruled by the court in all respects, stating that Bally’s products do not infringe IGT’s patents, or that IGT’s patents were invalid, or both.

The decision disposed of the entire case against the casino game maker, Bally Technologies.

Bally’s antitrust claims against IGT are still pending trial.

Illinois’ decision to permit video poker at bars and restaurants means orders in the thousands for the supply companies, and new slots at the state race tracks will also increase sales.

Slot machines also seem likely to land at Ohio race tracks soon, and Massachusetts has all but guaranteed it is expanding gambling this fall, with track slots and even a stand-alone casino likely.

JPMorgan noted that the video poker law in Illinois could account for up to 77,000 new games to be installed. North Carolina is also considering reinstating legal video poker just two years after banning it.

While the operators of giant casino resorts see stock value languish, the gaming manufacturers see rosy horizons with the continued wave of new gambling crossing the US.

While gaming operators re declined during the month, the manufacturing stocks were much healthier. Analysts say this is due to loosening gambling laws across the US that will bring new markets for both IGT and Bally.

IGT stock increased by 8.4 percent for the month, while Bally climbed 6.3 percent.

MGM Mirage, in contrast, gave back the last month’s meager gains, falling 25.4 percent even as the company said its short-term outlook had improved to the point that solvency is expected.

While twelve gambling bills in eleven states had a possibility of creating new demand for slot machines, Brian Gordon of Applied Analysis said operators were not so well off.

“From an operator’s perspective, the depth and breadth of the national recession is continuing to impact investor expectations,” Gordon said.

The competition for “Top 20 Most Innovative Gaming Technology Products of 2008″ became a case of Bally competing against itself. The iView Display Manager product received the top platinum award, selected from among 83 entries.

The system Bally created allows interactive involvement at individual games, including customized marketing, drink service for players, and second-chance promotions and bonuses.

The coveted Attendee Choice Award, given after surveying all conference participants, also went to Bally and the iView Display Manager.

Bally Technologies is expected to provide the software for the Sheraton’s high-tech casino floor, employing a number of Bally innovations including real-time player ratings and tracking and a complete marketing and promotions package.

“We considered a number of factors when selecting our systems partner, and we ultimately chose Bally because of their outstanding reputation for customer support and their broad portfolio of marketing and promotions solutions,” said Robin Powell, A spokesman for the casino developers.
