As the Macau government begins to enforce restrictions on casino developers to steady the fast paced growth of the city state and turn the region’s focus toward the hospitality and entertainment industry, Wynn Resorts (WYNN: 101.54 -2.89%) has announced an intern program designed to help students learn their chosen field.

In combination with the Institute for Tourism Studies, Wynn Macau has chosen fifteen students to participate in a three year “Headstart Career Program”.

Wynn Macau said that the program is designed to “help local students start out in the hospitality industry at the right level and in their chosen area of interest.”

Students will be permitted to participate after the completion of their first year of schooling and will intern during summer months at any of the Wynn Macau properties until graduation. Participating interns will also receive an allowance from the company.
